APPLICATIONS
Finally, the applications! You've made it this far, so there's no turning back now. Let's do a quick run-down on the application process, shall we? On November 22nd, applications will be closed. We will then start our default application process from there on out. That said, WE WILL BEGIN ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS ON THE LAST MONDAY OF A MONTH AT 12:00 AM FOR SEVEN DAYS. ANY SUBMISSIONS SENT IN AFTER 11:59 PM ON THE LAST DAY WILL BE VOID AND DISPOSED. All applications submitted via this post will be discarded. Please allow us mods at least three days to process your application. Don't worry, we WILL look through your submission eventually; we all have lives too, you know. Without further ado, please copy and paste the following and start filling it out! (Read on for application notes.) Please, please bold the labels within your email to make it easier to read. THE CURRENT CHARACTER LIMIT IS 4 CHARACTERS. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SUBMIT THREE APPLICATIONS EACH CYCLE. *THE APPLICANT* Name/Handle: what do you go by? Contact Details: any means of communication (AIM, MSN, EMAIL, Y!M, etc), just in case the mods need to contact you. make sure that this information can be viewed to the public, please. Personal LJ: your personal journal, obvs. *THE CHARACTER* Fandom: the series of which your character is from. Character Name: in the format of "given name surname", please. Background/History Link: provide us any link that tells us their background and/or history. we feel that it isn't necessary for anyone to have to type up an entire history/background, especially if he or she is a main character. despite this, please do not apply for a character if you know nothing about their history (that is, if the character even has a history. we know there are some who have shady backgrounds; that may be dismissed). if we caught you playing characters based on fanon, and/or you will be kicked out of the game. This is rule IX, just to let you know. Point in Canon: The point in your character's canon in which they were sent to this world. Personality: however, you will need to type this one up. we want to see your interpretation of your character. please be very specific; this section is crucial to your position in an army. Preferred Army: you cannot join new utopia. this is only a temporary thing; we are allowing you to pick what army you'd want your character to be in. however, once we see that there is a misbalance, this option will be taken away. pick wisely. if you want us to pick for you, then leave it blank or tell us so. :) Non-Military Job: if your character is not capable of fighting, what kind of job are you looking for this character to be doing? give us an idea, and we will give you some suggestions available within a base. if your character CAN fight, delete this section and move on to the next. *SAMPLES* First-person Sample: this is another important section. now that you have provided us with a personality, put that description of your character in action. we want to see you use the "voice" of your character. This section should be written as an example network post, not a first-person log sample. Third-person Sample: now this is where we test your writing abilities. yes, you are allowed to use an old sample or from a previous roleplay, just so long that it was written by you. |
